The Madison County Board of Health, meeting concurrently with the County Board on March 17, authorized two purchases for the Madison County Health Department.
The board approved purchase of 1,633 boxes of black nitrile gloves (100 gloves per box) from Young Specialties, Inc. at a total cost of $49,972.67. The Health Department also received authorization to purchase 55 Lenovo laptop computers from Micro Center at a cost of $53,154.59. Both purchases were recommended by the Health Department committee and were to be paid from Health Department funds.
Mike Babcock, presenting the resolutions, identified vendor quotes and recommended the low bidder for the gloves. The motions passed by roll call (ayes recorded; nays none). The board directed the chairman to execute the purchase agreements and for Health Department staff to coordinate delivery and payment.
