Committee notes two recent emergency callouts, flags flooded crosswalk near middle school

The committee reviewed an Emergency Call Out Report and attached overtime/callout list during the Dec. 15 meeting. Public Works Director Matt Wheeler told members there were only two callouts since the last meeting: one water shutoff and one incident at the Village lift station that began as a power outage. An extended callout list was provided as an attachment to the minutes.

Vice Chair Jodi Mackay raised a separate operational concern about the crosswalk by the middle school near a recently replaced fire hydrant. "It's a mess," Mackay said, adding that the area "is filling with water and creating huge puddles," a condition that could pose a hazard to pedestrians. The minutes record the concern but do not note a formal repair motion or timeline.
