Morrow County commissioners voted to adopt a resolution acknowledging the Ohio Department of Transportation s 2024 preliminary feasibility study and expressing support for continued improvements to the existing US 23 corridor as the preferred approach.
The measure was introduced during the consent and routine-business portion of the March 4 meeting. A commissioner moved the resolution and a second was recorded; the clerk called the roll and members answered in the affirmative. The motion passed without debate.
The resolution specifically references ODOT s preliminary 2024 feasibility study and frames the county s action as acknowledging those findings and supporting the corridor improvements identified in that study.
Staff noted the regional planning commission had helped assemble material included in the study. A county staff member said the Middle High Regional Planning Commission contributed to the information underlying the proposal and that the county had not been an active partner on the newer "23 Connect" alignment discussed elsewhere.
The board did not amend the language of the resolution during the meeting. The clerk recorded the roll call after the motion and the board proceeded to other routine agenda items.
