Board approves CFD annexation, certifies election results and approves easement abandonment

During public hearings on March 10 the Amador County Board of Supervisors approved two procedural land and service items.

1) Community Facilities District (CFD 2006‑1) annexation No.16: Lynn Gruber, the county's special tax consultant, presented the annexation to the county's fire protection CFD and the clerk reported ballots received and tallied. The clerk reported 297 affirmative votes with no negative votes. The board adopted a resolution to submit the annexation question and then adopted a resolution certifying the election results; both motions passed with the supervisors present voting in favor.

2) Easement abandonment and certificate of merger for Kevin Stott: County Surveyor Steve Zaneta described a merger of adjoining lots in the Comanche Subdivision and an associated easement along the common line that needed abandonment. No utilities or neighbors raised objections after notice; the board approved the easement abandonment and the certificate of merger by motion.

Both actions were routine public‑hearing items and carried by voice votes recorded as carried by the supervisors present.
