At its Dec. 30 meeting the Gallatin County Commission accepted the public dedication of Upper Whitefish Drive and Brown Trout Lane and granted final plat approval for the Upper Whitefish PUD major subdivision, clearing the way for a 26‑lot single-family residential development.
Ryan Sag of county planning told commissioners that the commission had granted preliminary plat approval on July 2, 2024, and signed findings on Aug. 6, 2024. “The preliminary plat allowed for the subdivision of a 14.51 acre property into 26 single family residential lots,” Sag said, and staff recommended accepting the road dedication to meet condition 18 of the preliminary plat.
The transcript records a representative identifying themselves as "Kolker Kukas of Morrison Merrilee on behalf of BSIH Bobstead LLC" requesting final plat approval (name presented as transcribed). A committee member moved to grant final plat approval; the motion was seconded and the commission recorded affirmative votes to grant final plat approval. The transcript does not record conditions of final approval beyond staff’s finding that preliminary-plat conditions had been met.
A brief remark in the room referenced Brown Trout Lane; the meeting record does not attribute that comment to a named member of the public.
