Council approves sewer extension resolution for proposed 75-unit New London Preserve

The Coventry Town Council approved Resolution 2026-16 to authorize a sewer extension to serve a proposed 75-unit development called New London Preserve off New London Turnpike.

Town Engineer Joe Levesque described the proposal and said the new extension would tie into the existing 15-inch gravity main on New London Turnpike. Councilman Pasqua moved to approve the resolution; the motion was seconded and passed by voice vote.

The council discussed that additional resolutions on municipal collaboration and council oversight of the comprehensive plan would require fiscal notes and further policy review; two subsequent resolutions (2026-17 and 2026-18) were tabled for later consideration.

The approved sewer resolution moves the project forward administratively; any engineering, permitting and financing steps required for construction will be addressed in subsequent planning and permitting processes.
