HSD 86 narrows CIO search to two finalists; assistant superintendent candidate review set

District administration told the HR committee that eight candidates participated in the preliminary CIO round and that two finalists remain; each finalist will be on campus for nearly a full day on March 9 and March 11 for interviews and activities ahead of a hiring decision. The administration also said it will review candidates for the assistant superintendent of curriculum, instruction and assessment with Dr. Pettit later in the week.

Administration said the CIO search pool was narrowed after preliminary rounds and that the district expects to complete on-site interviews before making a recommendation. No finalists or hires were named at the HR committee meeting.

The committee noted the hires are an important operational priority and will receive follow-up as the searches conclude.
