Griggs County officials approved routine bills and moved to enter a funding agreement with the state for clerk and court services at the March 9 meeting.
County staff (Sam, S8) explained bills requiring signatures, and a $94.25 mileage reimbursement request for an employee’s trip to Jamestown to resolve a W‑2 issue. Commissioners moved and approved the bills presented; one board member recorded a dissent during the roll‑call vote. The board then considered a state funding agreement to provide clerk and court services. Staff (S3) said the county’s FTE count increased and the funding amount would rise; the clerk/court agreement motion was moved by Commissioner Josh (S6), seconded, and approved by roll call. S3 said the county must notify the state by April 1 that it wishes to enter into a funding agreement, after which the state will send a revised contract for review.
Other routine business: staff said expense and revenue reports are being reconciled and will be circulated once accurate; discussion about the employee manual resulted in tabling the manual to allow commissioners time to review suggested changes on OneDrive. The board set township outreach and noted a County Township Officers Association meeting the next day where the haul‑road agreement will be discussed.
The meeting adjourned at 10:33 a.m.; the next regular meeting was scheduled for March 23 at 9:30 a.m.
