Laurel Fire Department offers fireworks safety map for possible fireworks site

During the public-comment portion of the meeting Casey Bieber of the Laurel Fire Department addressed the board and presented a map showing proposed safety distances and a potential site for a fireworks display.

Bieber thanked district technology staff (Devin) for preparing measurements and said his team has determined the location is doable. He said he has contacted local organizations (Little League, Dodgers) to bring them into the loop and offered a copy of the map for board members to review; he provided an email address for follow-up and the board chair asked that a public-comment card be submitted to Julie to record the item in meeting records.

The board did not take formal action on the fireworks site; the comment was recorded as public input for future consideration.
