The Oconto Falls Public School District Board met March 9 and presented certificates recognizing students who advanced to state competitions.
At the start of the meeting the board recognized the high school dance team. A team representative described tryouts in June, practices since August, and regional competition Jan. 24 and state competition in February. The board read and signed a certificate dated March 9, 2026 honoring the dancers who advanced; named seniors included Taylor Rosina, Greta Coller, Natalie Reid and Emily Thabry, with additional seniors (Eden Cole, Chloe Artisan, Madison Duncan) noted as absent. The representative said 19 of 23 team members met the WACPC scholar-athlete requirement (3.5 GPA) and that the team’s semester GPA was reported as 3.6.
The board then welcomed the wrestling team. Their coach summarized the season as successful, noting a record discussed in the meeting and that Isaiah Holtz qualified for state after strong sectional performance. The board presented a certificate to Isaiah Holtz recognizing his advancement to the state wrestling competition (certificate dated March 9, 2026 and signed by board members). Isaiah spoke briefly about the role teammates played in his season.
Board members and the district administrator offered congratulations and brief remarks praising student effort and sportsmanship. The recognitions were followed by photos and brief applause.
The meeting then moved on to routine business.
