Panel B of the Medical Board of California elects Dr. Thorpe as chair; moves to closed session

Christina Lawson, who identified herself as vice chair of Panel B, opened the meeting at 10:19 a.m. and called for roll to establish a quorum.

Lawson nominated Dr. Thorpe to continue serving as panel chair and proposed returning Miss Torres to the vice chair position. The panel took a roll-call vote on the slate. The clerk recorded affirmative responses from Miss Torres, Christina Lawson, Dr. Thorpe and Dr. Tilbert; the clerk announced, “Motion carried.” A second was recorded on the motion though the record did not clearly identify which participant offered it.
