Weston County GOP seats 29 delegates at county convention, credentials report approved

The credentials committee at the Weston County Republican Party county convention verified delegates against a voter list dated Jan. 8, 2026, and the Clerk read precinct rosters aloud. Several precincts lacked alternates or had vacancies, and the Chair moved to seat present alternates to fill gaps.

After motions to seat Carol for Precinct 3-1 and others, the Chair reported interim counts that rose from 25 to 27 and then to a final tally of 29 delegates present. The Chair then moved to approve the credentials committee report, and delegates approved the report by voice vote, seating the alternates and finalizing delegate status for convention business.

The Clerk read names from multiple precincts during the roll call, including Marty Irvin, Ted Irvin, Earl Slagle and others. The convention proceeded to the bylaws committee report after approving the credentials report.
