District honors staff and students with challenge coins; FCCLA and culinary students highlight program successes

The Amador County Unified board presented challenge coins to dozens of staff and volunteers during the March 11 meeting and heard presentations from students and staff in FCCLA and culinary programs.

Representatives from Ed Options, Jackson Elementary, child‑development/ELOP and state preschool described staff contributions that prompted recognition. FCCLA advisers and student leaders described membership growth, competitive placements at region and state events, scholarships earned by students and activities such as catering school dances and community events.

Teachers and site leaders praised the hands‑on and leadership skills students develop through these programs and thanked staff and community partners who support competitive events, internships and program expansion.
