The Mount Clemens City Council moved and approved purchases and payments of invoices and the consent agenda during the meeting.
Commissioner Kim (S12) moved to approve purchases and payments of invoices as presented; the motion was seconded and passed on roll call. A council member questioned whether a Ford F-150 procurement would be purchased directly through Macomb County purchasing or by using Macomb County’s pricing/bid. Staff said the city is utilizing whatever bid Macomb County used (not buying directly from the county but using the county’s pricing/bid), and cited existing county pricing as the method of procurement.
The consent agenda was moved and approved with roll call votes recorded as affirmative by those present.
In the city manager’s report (S5), staff said city offices would be closed on Monday, May 27; announced the Bud Light Classic Car Show and Cruise Night downtown (dates referenced included June 1 and June 4, with a correction noted in the meeting); reported that the Harrington Street resurfacing project was progressing as scheduled and expected to open to two-way traffic by June; and listed several recently opened businesses downtown including CSL Plasma (40 North Groesbeck), Pops Sweets and Treats (90 Macomb Place), Tortez Mex Cal (71 North Main Street), Cott's Funeral Home (226 Crocker Boulevard) and Miles on the Water (240 North River Road).
