Mount Clemens commission approves minutes, invoices and consent agenda; manager outlines local events

The Mount Clemens City Commission approved routine business items at its Oct. 8 meeting, including minutes from Sept. 16, 2019, payment of invoices and purchases, and the consent agenda, all passed on roll call.

City manager (speaker 11) reported that the Mount Lemmon State of the City address was held Oct. 4, 2019, and will be broadcast beginning Oct. 11 on local cable and posted on the city's website. Nomination forms are open for the local treasurer award with a deadline of Dec. 16, 2019. The manager also announced logistics for the Columbus Day parade on Main Street on Oct. 12 and a downtown fundraising 'zombie walk' benefiting the Macomb County Bridal Shelter on Oct. 19.

Commissioners used their comment time to note community engagement around Olsen Park and to thank residents for turnout at the recent workshop; several commissioners encouraged continued public participation in upcoming discussions.
