The county clerk reported to the Cass County Board of Commissioners that the recent election produced historic turnout, with 78% of registered voters participating and 7,307 early-voting transactions recorded over a nine-day early-voting period.
"We had 7,307 voters turnout over the 9 days," the county clerk said, and added that the election operations and inspectors "did an amazing job" handling volume and accuracy. The clerk thanked the Road Commission, sheriff's deputies who provided extra presence at busy sites, GIS and IT staff who produced materials and troubleshooting support, maintenance staff who transported equipment, and local clerks and election inspectors for their work.
The clerk said the office will provide more complete numbers and percentages at the next meeting after final tabulation and review. Board members and Judge Beeler also offered public thanks to election staff for managing what the clerk described as a demanding operation.
The report noted the clerk will share finalized figures and percentages in a subsequent meeting and emphasized that the office is reviewing procedures and support for future elections.
