Cornish council approves GWorks municipal software contract; onboarding and first-year costs noted

The Cornish Town Council voted to approve the purchase of GWorks municipal software after a discussion of contract length and pricing. The council approved a motion to buy the software and to proceed with execution pending a small clarification about a public‑notice feature.

Chair (speaker 2) summarized the vendor’s offer: a $6,500 onboarding fee and a $6,500 annual subscription for the chosen modules (implementation services, front desk, billing hub, finance hub, HR hub, time tracker and payments). The vendor said the one‑time onboarding and annual price would both be $6,500 and that, if Cornish signs a three‑year agreement, the $6,500 annual price would be fixed for the three‑year term.

A motion to purchase GWorks was made, seconded and approved by voice vote. The council discussed whether to commit for one, two or three years; several members preferred the three‑year option to avoid repeating procurement and to preserve the lower locked price. Councilmember (speaker 3) noted that the onboarding fee is paid upfront and that subsequent years are due at the one‑ and two‑year marks under the three‑year scenario.

Chair said he would sign the contract once the vendor clarifies whether the public-notice feature is included in the front‑desk module. The motion passed without recorded dissent.
