Morrow County commissioners approve payments, appropriations and journalize annexation petition

At their April 1 meeting the Morrow County Board of Commissioners approved a set of routine financial and administrative items, including payments from municipal customers, an appropriation to the capital improvements fund, a pay request for a project recorded in the transcript as 'MRWCR 23 1.12,' and authorization for the chairman to proceed on a 2025 workers' compensation retrospective rating plan agreement.

The clerk reported payments from Jonesville, Caterham, Samoko and Chesterfield customers, a sheriff's office reimbursement for supplies, and receipt of a state Brownfield remediation grant. A motion to appropriate certified/unappropriated funds to the capital improvements fund was moved, seconded and passed on roll call.

The board also journalized an annexation petition for 10.256 and 2.226 acres moving from South Bloomfield Township to the village of Sparta; the motion was moved, seconded and carried on roll call.
