Morrow County commissioners on March 25 approved an amendment to the county home farm lease that sets the corrected annual rent at $8,960.
Clerk (S4) read an amendment to Resolution 23 R 496 — the county home farm lease amended on June 1, 2023 — stating the new annual lease amount is $8,960, a rate of $280 per acre for a total of 32 tillable acres. Chair (S3) moved to amend the resolution and the motion received a second; the clerk called the roll and recorded affirmative responses from members who were present.
The amendment was presented as a technical correction to the previously filed lease terms rather than as a change to acreage or tenant. The commissioners did not debate the acreage or rate on the record during the March 25 session.
The board completed the roll call on the amendment and recorded affirmative votes from the members present. No amendments to the revised dollar amount were proposed at the meeting.
The amendment will be reflected in the county’s lease records; the clerk read the updated figures into the public record during the meeting.
