Garrett Foreman, representing the Rocket City Trash Pandas at Toyota Field, presented the club's season review and community outreach efforts to the Madison City Council.
Foreman said the team hosted more than 150 days of non‑baseball events in the year, including free movie nights, a barbecue festival with 50+ cook teams, youth tournaments, a fall concert series and other community programming. He said the club donated over $50,000 to North Alabama nonprofits in its second year of the franchise's foundation work and highlighted partnerships such as Toyota Motor Manufacturing of Alabama. Foreman also described retail initiatives (a new team store and a "Trash Pandas Travels" photo campaign), plans for a 150‑square‑foot LED display in Bill Penny Plaza, a wall mural by a local artist, a frozen‑yogurt vendor and a local beer garden.
Foreman told the council the organization will submit a check this week to cover an outstanding payment discussion item and gave numeric figures for city payments and outstanding balances during the presentation; the transcript contains transcription noise on the exact gross figure but states an outstanding balance the club plans to pay of $596,944.23. Council members thanked Foreman and noted the club's role in community events and economic activity.
The presentation did not require a council vote. Council members used the opportunity to thank the team for community engagement and to note the team's attendance and publicity milestones.
