Votes at a glance: council approves minutes, $40,000 transfer and mayor authorization for Fire Station 3 agreement

On new business, the council approved a budget amendment transferring $40,000 from salaries to wages to allow hiring a part‑time administrative assistant while the full‑time vacancy is filled. A committee member said the transfer would "allow us to hire part time until we can fill our full time administrative assistant position," and noted a candidate, "Miss Karen," had expressed interest in serving temporarily. The council also considered a proposed agreement authorizing the mayor to sign for a Fire Station 3 addition. The motion to authorize the mayor to sign the agreement, pending Mister Kendrick's review, was moved by Missus Smith, seconded by Mister Gualani, and approved by voice vote, 3–0.
