The North Logan City Planning Commission handled routine business March 5, approving a conditional use permit for a small used-automobile sales business and adopting meeting minutes and the agenda.
On the consent agenda commissioners considered CUP 2026-1 for Fisher Auto, a request to operate a small used-car sales business. Gavin moved to approve the permit, incorporating the staff report’s facts, findings and conditions; Porter seconded and the motion passed by voice vote.
The commission also approved minutes from January 8 and February 5 after a motion to accept. Staff gave a brief follow-up update on the Beck Farm Subdivision off Foothill Drive (Orchard Butte area), saying the developer will return with a minor adjustment for another commission review rather than proceeding directly to City Council.
Staff reminded commissioners about upcoming training and conference opportunities, including the ULI Utah Land Use Institute (a remote option on March 20) and the APA conference in Bryce Canyon; limited funds are available to assist with registration and travel. Commissioners expressed interest in attending the remote ULI session.
The commission adjourned the public meeting and proceeded to a work session.
