Members of the Citizens Advisory Committee reviewed design examples for a wishing-well sign and discussed the status of a nearby bathroom wall and possible property acquisition.
The Chair summarized outreach to city staff and recent inquiries about acquiring adjacent property or securing wall access. The Chair said an online listing had suggested “the price was $4.99 according to Zillow,” and noted that the listed price had since increased; the committee asked staff to follow up with Mister King and to check whether the council would consider deed or access arrangements.
Committee members reviewed two sample wishing-well designs and tentatively favored a green-background option, saying it fit the park’s aesthetic and existing signage. One member noted a preference for the green design, and the Chair said the council would have final approval on any signage selection.
Next steps: the committee will keep both the bathroom-wall and wishing-well items on future agendas, ask staff to seek clarification from the council and from Mr. King about property/wall options, and forward the preferred design for council consideration.
