The Village of Cary board voted March 3 to approve an incentive agreement under the village façade improvement and interior build-out grant program to assist Carryout Coffee, a business planning to occupy the former Burger King at 62 Northwest Highway.
Staff told the board the total project cost exceeds $60,000 and the village contribution would be $10,000 (roughly 15% of costs). The proposed work focuses on new wall signs and menu board upgrades for the drive-through operation; staff said the applicant hopes to complete improvements in spring and open in the coming months. Trustees offered positive comments about reusing the vacant property and about the applicant’s branding and menu.
A motion to approve the resolution authorizing the incentive agreement was moved and seconded and passed by roll call.
