Town planner: housing element annual report due to HCD; will go to council March 10

Planning Director Sage told the commission that the Town of Woodside is completing its housing element annual report and will present the report to the Town Council on March 10 ahead of the town’s submittal to the California Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD). Sage said the town must file the report with HCD by April 1 and that the detailed spreadsheets and permit lists would be available to commissioners by the end of the week.

Sage said the report includes permit counts and income-level breakdowns where applicable and noted that some standard spreadsheet fields do not apply to Woodside. The director also asked commissioners to confirm availability for an April meeting to enact chair and vice-chair rotations; staff will circulate a poll to confirm attendance.

The planning director did not provide funding amounts tied to the housing element in the meeting. The council hearing on March 10 and the April 1 submission deadline were presented as administrative next steps for the town’s housing-element compliance cycle.
