Sumner County Library Board chair announces immediate resignation

Erica Grammer, chair of the Sumner County Library Board, announced at the end of Monday’s meeting that she is stepping down as chair effective immediately, citing ongoing personal challenges and a recent family medical diagnosis.

In a prepared statement she said the decision was difficult and that she intended to continue serving as a trustee through the end of her term if possible. Trustees responded with thanks and expressions of support. The board indicated that Vice Chair Mike (speaker labeled S4) will assume lead duties while the board considers next steps.

The chair’s announcement followed lengthy discussion on the collection development policy and other agenda items. The board did not announce a timeline for selecting a new chair during the meeting.
