Commission elects chair, names Chelsea vice chair and renews pollinator and tree‑care subcommittees

At its March 21 meeting the Pflugerville Parks and Recreation Commission confirmed its annual leadership and renewed two subcommittees.

Chair led the nominations; a motion to reappoint the incumbent chair was made, seconded and carried. The commission then nominated and approved Chelsea as vice chair; commissioners thanked her for her service.

On subcommittees, staff advised that the Parks Foundation subcommittee is largely complete and does not require immediate renewal. Commissioners voted to renew the Tree Care Advisory and the Pollinator subcommittees. Jennifer requested to remain on both committees (in an emailed note summarized by staff) and the commission approved her renomination; final pollinator membership will include Elise and Chelsea, and the Tree Care Advisory will include Jennifer, Stan and Ray.

These were procedural actions taken by the advisory commission; membership and liaison arrangements will be reflected in meeting minutes and staff records.

Next steps: staff will update rosters and notify nominees of their appointments.
