Committee advances three committee substitutes in executive session; all three pass on do-pass votes

The Missouri House Committee on Economic Development moved in executive session and advanced three committee substitutes, voting to report all three bills as do-pass to the full House.

The panel first considered a committee substitute to the measure identified in the session as House Bill 17 16; members adopted the substitute by voice and, after a roll call, the chair announced the result as 13 yeas, 0 nays and 1 present. The committee then adopted and voted to report a committee substitute for House Bill 24 74 by a roll-call result announced as 15 yeas and 0 nays. A third committee substitute, for House Bill 26 93, was adopted; the chair announced a roll-call result of 12 yeas, 2 nays and 1 present and declared the substitute passed.

Committee members conducted the votes after brief procedural motion and voice adoption of the substitutes. The chair handled distribution of the substitute text and presided over the roll calls; no further floor debate or recorded amendments were offered in committee.

All three measures were reported as do-pass and will be scheduled for further action by the House. The committee then recessed public business and began scheduled public hearings on other bills listed on the day’s agenda.
