The Park and Culture and Recreation Board approved several administrative and program items on routine consent after staff briefings.
Jenny Wilson, senior park planner, described an update to the 2026 work plan to add review of a proposed city policy on public-art donations. The board approved that addition and scheduled staff and an assistant city manager to present draft policy language at a future meeting.
The board also approved two enhancement-program requests. One request will install an AED with a secure case near the soccer fields at the Regional Athletic Complex; the case and AED will be paid for by the club, and the city will install and maintain the device. The second request, from a mobile food vendor, will add pavers to a high-use access point to prevent muddy conditions; the vendor will pay for the materials and staff will oversee installation and maintenance.
Finally, the board approved the draft 2025 Parks annual report, which staff said shows revenue increases in several program areas and outlines accomplishments and upcoming priorities for departmental operations and capital projects.
