New Lakeview Elementary gym unveiled; staff cite space for graduations and indoor practice

Presenter welcomed the community to the new Lakeview Elementary School gym and called the facility "state of the art," saying, "We are so excited to have the opportunity to have this new state of the art facility."

A staff member with 25 years at the school said the additional space will create new opportunities for student and community events, citing "fourth grade graduation or Girls on the Run inside practice on rainy days and assemblies and concerts." The staff member said the larger gym will allow parents, grandparents and community members to "come in and enjoy this big, beautiful space."

The presenters thanked the community and those who helped put the facility together. No votes, motions or policy actions were recorded during the event; speakers framed the gathering as a celebratory unveiling and community thank-you.

The event concluded with speakers reiterating appreciation for community support and enthusiasm about future uses of the gym.
