Holliston and town officials plan MSBA feasibility‑study presentation to town meeting as next step

Committee members and administrators reported Feb. 26 that discussions with Massachusetts School Building Authority (MSBA) staff were productive and that they would aim for a May town‑meeting presentation asking voters to fund a high‑school feasibility study.

Speakers described next steps: finalize warrant language using MSBA templates, coordinate with the select board and town staff on a shared website and community outreach, and prepare presentation materials to educate voters about what a feasibility study does and does not include. A school‑select board working group will draft the warrant language and submit it to MSBA for approval; MSBA typically wants at least two weeks to review draft warrant language.

Committee members emphasized the importance of early community outreach, including presentations at senior center and other venues to surface questions ahead of town meeting, and said they will bring final language back to their boards for a formal decision before the warrant closes.
