Holliston committee approves Director of Teaching and Learning job posting and sets $150,000–$175,000 salary band

The Holliston School Committee approved moving forward with a Director of Teaching and Learning job posting and set a salary band of $150,000–$175,000 at its Feb. 26 meeting. Administrators said they will finalize minor, non‑substantive edits to the job description in consultation with the superintendent before posting.

Committee member (speaker 2) moved to set the salary range at $150,000–$175,000; the motion was seconded and approved by voice vote. The committee also voted to authorize administrators to post the position (subject to coordination with the superintendent) and discussed a timeline to have the search committee formed and initial interviews the week of March 23. The committee appointed a school‑committee member (Hillary) to serve on the search committee, with a named backup.

Administrators noted the posting target was 'tomorrow or by Monday' and said they intend to bring candidates to evening interview sessions for community input. The committee asked administrators to keep the hiring timeline public and to return with any salary‑band or substantive changes for committee review.
