The Mount Clemens City Commission authorized the purchase of a BS&A special-assessment software module Monday, at a cost of $3,985 plus $1,000 for implementation and training and an estimated $305 in travel expenses.
City staff explained the module is needed to manage multiple-year assessments and to keep accurate records if the city continues multiyear special-assessment projects. The purchase was moved, seconded and approved by roll call.
Staff said the module is not one of the packages previously purchased when the city adopted BS&A software but is an add-on designed for multiyear assessment tracking. The item will allow the city to track differing assessment schedules and subsidies more reliably.
The commission approved the purchase and will receive further project-level details during implementation.
