Saint Bridal CIC OKs $2,000 for shopping-center mulch and flowers

The Saint Bridal Community Improvement Corporation voted unanimously on March 26 to allocate $2,000 to purchase mulch and flowers for planting and touch-ups at the village shopping center.

The chair described the request and noted the village had budgeted roughly $2,000 last year for the same purpose but did not fully use those funds. The chair also said the Garden Club had asked for the privilege of managing gardening at the shopping site and that the board would consider repurposing surplus equipment for village departments.

A motion to allocate $2,000 for mulch and flowers was moved and seconded and then approved by roll-call vote, with each trustee present voting "Yes." The chair said Tom will lead an inventory of remaining items at the bank and loan center to determine what can be redistributed to other departments or offered for sale or community reuse.

The allocation covers anticipated purchases of mulch and plants ahead of planting season; board members noted they expect actual spending to be less than the full amount. The board will monitor expenses and report back at its next regular meeting.
