Director: Airport to launch online parking reservations March 1; major roadway project planned

The Director of Airports told trustees the airport will launch an online parking reservation system on March 1 that customers can access via the airport website. "As of March 1, we will be going live with our parking reservation system at the airport," the director said, adding that the system covers all parking products except hourly and that customers can begin reserving spaces on the website.

The director said premium parking spaces will be "somewhat limited" at the start because the ticket spitter for that location must be moved, but that customers who had reserved premium spaces in the prior system were transitioned into the new system. "We feel that this offers our customers just some more assurance of when they get to the airport, they'll have a place to park, and so gives them a better experience," the director said.

In the same update the director referenced a printed 2025 review and a 2026 preview (noting page 15) and said the Trust will post those materials on the airport website for public access and internal staff use. He also listed planned infrastructure and airfield projects, and told trustees the authority will kick off a major roadway reconstruction at the intersection of Amelia Earhart and Meridian in 2026.

The director closed the report by saying the materials will be posted for the community to review; no vote was required for the director's report. The Trust moved next to a set of approval items on the published agenda.
