Staff previewed upcoming public outreach on a legislative rezoning that will be carried out in phases, starting with the northern neighborhoods. Staff announced two public open-house opportunities: an in-person event on March 10 at Bison Ridge Recreation Center and a virtual meeting on March 17. A working map and a project web page will track proposed zoning changes; staff said the legislative rezoning is expected to come forward for public hearings in the fall.
Commissioners discussed attendance-polling cadence; staff will continue to solicit attendance availability two weeks before meetings and follow up a week before publication of the agenda. Commissioners requested printed Bob’s Rules materials and a short cheat sheet for their binders.
Deputy Director Heather Bidlock announced a staffing change: promotion from planning manager to deputy director of Community Development and will continue to support the commission. The chair adjourned the regular meeting at 7:58 p.m.
