City of Bowie events manager seeks nominations for Hall of Honor; deadline March 6

Matt Corley, the City of Bowie’s special events manager, urged residents to nominate local citizens for the city’s Hall of Honor, saying nominations close March 6.

“My name is Matt Corley, and I'm the special events manager for the City Of Bowie,” Corley said, welcoming attendees to the Hall of Honor display at Bowie City Hall. He noted that “The Hall Of Honor was established in 1991 and recognizes those citizens who have made a major and lasting contribution to the City Of Bowie.”

Corley said nomination forms are available on the city’s website and encouraged people to apply: “If you know somebody that you think is qualified, please put in your nomination form, and we would love to honor them here at Bowie City Hall.” He added that nominations are accepted from January through March and that those who miss this year’s deadline can prepare to nominate next year.

The announcement provides a local opportunity for residents to recognize public service and community contributions. Corley directed listeners to the City of Bowie website for the nomination form and additional instructions.
