The Georgia House Transportation Committee approved House Resolution 1,300 on a voice vote and then adjourned, the chair announced.
The chair opened the meeting, noted a quorum and introduced a committee substitute (LC 39 50 23 S) that lists multiple road resolutions and recognitions. “The 1 we're doing is, the 1 for Representative Penny Houston. It's a roundabout in Cook County,” the chair said, identifying the Cook County project as the lead item on the substitute.
Vice chairman moved that House Resolution 1,300 “do pass” by the Transportation Committee. After the chair called for the ayes, members responded and the chair declared the measure passed, noting there was no recorded opposition. The meeting record shows the vote was taken by voice; no roll-call tally was entered in the transcript.
Committee materials available to members included conflict letters, resolutions and associated advertisements, the chair said, and the committee discussed scheduling for recognitions tied to the packet. The chair said two representatives—Danny Mathis and Jacqueline Ford—will be recognized on Friday under morning order recognitions directed by leadership.
The committee took no other recorded action on the resolution and adjourned after the passage was declared.
