Village of Tinley Park recognizes TNT Extreme Dance and owner Tara Jurgavan

The Village of Tinley Park recognized Tara Jurgavan, owner of TNT Extreme Dance, during a brief presentation at a village meeting.

Jurgavan, who identified herself as the studio’s owner, told the meeting TNT Extreme Dance has served the community for more than 17 years and provides affordable classes across ages and genres for both recreational and competitive dancers. "I'm excited to receive this recognition," she said.

The studio’s approach, she said, blends technical training and performance with character development. Jurgavan said her daughter Taylor has spent four years with a Chicago Bulls–affiliated dance team and trained with choreographers in California; the transcript’s wording about the Bulls affiliation was unclear. She added that she leads a team of four staff members and that the program has earned recognition onstage and off.

Jurgavan highlighted former students’ accomplishments, saying some have joined college dance teams, performed in The Lion King at Disney and graduated from Juilliard. She invited interested residents to reach out by phone or the studio website and emphasized that TNT Extreme Dance tries to accommodate students who also participate in other sports.
