Miss Frank told the board the technology department completed phase 1 of a districtwide copier replacement and asked permission to use leftover capital funds to finish the remaining schools, estimating the work will cost about $150,000 and noting $217,000 remains in that account. (Miss Frank)
Mister Simpson presented an overview of past and in-progress capital projects and proposed reallocating highlighted past funds into districtwide generators (about $67,000) and districtwide HVAC (about $49,000); he explained the packet color coding (yellow=reallocations, blue=IT, red=remaining spend). (Mister Simpson)
Simpson said the administration has completed 59 projects, has 12 in continuous progress, 32 with purchase orders issued and "a 105 total projects" in process. He described current RFPs and bids and noted several solicitations are due in mid-March. (Mister Simpson)
On not-to-exceed accounts, Simpson asked for increases to districtwide fencing, lighting, roofing and door/hardware caps and said the additional amounts would be taken from the unbudgeted funds line; he cited a $400,000 additional figure in that discussion. (Mister Simpson)
Summing new requests, Simpson said the bottom-line ask on the sheet is about $983,000 and that if the indoor sports facility design request is removed ($73,000) the total would fall accordingly; he added that after approving the package roughly $1,000,000 would remain in unbudgeted 8% bond funds. (Mister Simpson)
The administration said formal approvals will be taken at the next regular board meeting; the committee session did not adopt any funding motions.
