The board postponed action on a proposed school‑based telehealth provider after administration reported the vendor could not meet equipment or budgeting expectations.
"We learned that this particular provider... was not gonna be able to provide the services that they originally had thought they were going to," the superintendent said, explaining that equipment needs and budget forecasting prevented the vendor from delivering services at the district’s expected rigor. Staff recommended pulling the item and searching for alternative providers through the Student Health Advisory Committee (SHAC).
A motion to postpone the action item was made and approved by the board. Administration said it will continue vetting providers and return to the board when staff are confident in the vendor and service model; no contract was approved at the meeting.
