Fairfield Senior Commission names Dan Van Horn vice chair and Sandy Berman secretary by unanimous consent

The Fairfield Senior Commission unanimously approved a slate of officers at its meeting, appointing Dan Van Horn as vice chair and Sandy Berman as secretary.

The chair opened nominations and nominated Van Horn and Berman; after a second the chair asked for a consent vote and declared the slate approved "It's unanimous," welcoming both officers. The commission had earlier noted it is now fully rostered with nine commissioners.

The appointments came as commissioners discussed forming working groups to pursue priorities this year, including a legislative advocacy subcommittee and a disabilities‑focused team. The chair said the subcommittees would enable the commission to do more targeted work and report back at monthly meetings.
