The Platteville School District board approved a bundle of routine personnel and operational items, including three hires, a resignation, meal-price changes, a kitchen-equipment purchase and administrative contracts.
Staff recommended hiring Morgan Kasharik as a third-grade teacher, Haley Eric as high school counselor and Reagan Carey as a fifth-grade special education teacher for the 2024–25 school year; the board moved and approved each hire by voice vote.
The board accepted the resignation of Merrill Brunson as the eighth-grade social-studies teacher; a board member thanked Brunson for service and wished them well.
On food service, the board approved a gradual price increase for 2024–25 meal pricing and authorized the food-service fund (fund 50) to purchase a combi oven from vendor Kesnick, a purchase staff said the food-service fund can cover from its operations.
The board also approved administrative contracts after completed evaluations, including a two-year contract for middle-school principal Mrs. Zielinski beginning July 1, 2024. The meeting record did not provide full vote tallies by member; approvals were recorded by voice vote.
Items approved at the consent agenda and other motions were moved and seconded by board members in the meeting and the board adjourned at 7:20 p.m.
