Adams County signs cover sheet to submit Bridge 27 plans for state review ahead of July bid

Nate briefed the Adams County commissioners on Bridge 27, a federal-aid replacement on Pickle Road over Kirky Ditch, and asked the board to sign the cover sheet permitting formal submission of construction plans to the state. "Yes. This is a federal aid project. We had submitted back in the very 2023. We're awarded in '24, and now we're moving forward in the construction," Nate said.

Nate told the board he would upload the plans this Friday for the state's final review so the project could proceed to a scheduled July 8 bid date. Commissioners discussed traffic staging noted in the plans and confirmed that all five signatures, including Tony's and the three commissioners, were needed on the cover sheet. A commissioner moved to approve submission and signatures; Chair announced the motion passed.

The board also discussed a separate, recently issued NDOT request for qualifications and proposals for Bridge 96 and noted proposals for that project are due April 3. The Bridge 27 approval authorizes county staff to submit the final documents to the state and proceed toward the advertised bid schedule.
