At its March 2 meeting the Kalamazoo City Commission approved a 15-item consent agenda that bundled multiple contracts, change orders and administrative resolutions.
Items approved included a sole-source professional-services agreement not to exceed $49,000 with Maine and Meridian LLC for consulting, a contracted e. coli sampling and site assessment agreement of $102,500, mechanical/electrical/plumbing inspection services supplement ($110,000), analytical testing services with Trace Analytical Laboratories ($115,480.32), building renovation work and equipment contracts across several vendors (amounts ranged from roughly $122,516 to $426,000), a software/ pension administration contract not to exceed $312,000, erosion repairs at Water Station 24 ($335,943.90), and a cooperative-sign installation contract of $268,282.50.
The agenda also included adoption of a polling facility designation for Precinct 10 and a resolution setting salaries for commission appointees and certain city officers effective March 2, 2026, as well as approval of prior meeting minutes. Manager Hankins presented the items and the motion to approve items G1–G15 was made by Commissioner Hoffman, supported by Commissioner Slaby; Clerk Borling called the roll and the consent agenda passed.
Staff noted the items were submitted for approval as routine, and the commission authorized the City Manager to sign related documents on behalf of the city.
The approved contract amounts and vendors were read into the record as part of the consent agenda presentation.
