Police Chief Mills presented the department’s February monthly report to Milford City Council on March 18, summarizing activity and investigative highlights.
Chief Mills said the department logged 1,081 call records, 480 directed patrols and 142 offenses investigated in February, along with 20 auto accidents, 138 written warnings and 144 traffic citations. Sgt. Belcher attended the Police Executive Leadership College, detectives obtained APHIS hits on two fingerprints in an investigation of recovered vehicles, and officers recovered two stolen Chevy Camaros after locating them in a Cincinnati parking garage.
The report also detailed several arrests and investigations: an individual allegedly acting erratically was charged with OVI and resisting after a drug‑induced episode; a breaking‑and‑entering investigation led to a female suspect being apprehended; and traffic enforcement resulted in citations and follow‑up charges in multiple incidents. Two low‑level response‑to‑resistance incidents were reviewed by command staff and found to be within department policy.
Chief Mills also recounted community engagement such as senior visits and a ribbon cutting at Holston's Bakery. The department noted an ongoing public records complaint filed with the Ohio Court of Claims related to a large records request. Council received the report; no formal action was taken.
