The Northridge Board of Education voted unanimously April 16 to approve a 3.5% administrative salary adjustment for the 2024–25 school year. Superintendent Dr. Michael recommended the increase to align administrative pay with raises already awarded to teachers and classified staff.
Dr. Michael told the board, “This is a recommendation to approve the administrative contract adjustment to the same 3 and a half percent increase that the teachers and the classified staff received.” He said the change will supersede a 1.5% contract provision and that three administrators whose contracts were already up had been included previously; the current motion addressed four administrators whose contracts were still midterm and will be adjusted for the coming year.
Board members discussed the item briefly before taking a roll-call vote; the measure passed 5‑0. No mover or seconder was recorded in the public transcript beyond the board’s standard motion and second procedure. The board clerk recorded the outcome and the item will be reflected in the district’s personnel and contract records.
The superintendent characterized the action as completing what the board had initiated the prior month on staff compensation. The board did not attach conditions or direct additional study as part of the vote.
The board has scheduled its next regular meeting for Monday, May 20, 2024, where follow-up personnel items will appear if needed.
