Cemetery Committee approves Randall plot repurchase and corrects Reese transfer; accepts minutes

At its Feb. 4, 2026 meeting, the Concord Cemetery Committee approved several routine administrative actions.

Minutes: The committee agreed to accept the minutes for Dec. 3 and Jan. 7 after a motion from the chair. Members indicated assent during the roll call.

Randall lot repurchase: Staff reported the Randall family offered to sell back two lots (Lots 45 and 64 on Dogwood Path) they no longer need. The chair moved to allow the repurchase at the original purchase price; members voiced "aye" and the chair declared the motion carried. The committee discussed standard repurchase policy (original purchase price or half current rate, whichever is greater) during the item.

Reese transfer clarification: The committee approved a motion to correct a previously authorized in-family transfer to note the correct lot: Lot 40 Maple Avenue (the minutes had recorded the wrong street as Ripley Avenue). The chair moved to authorize the clarification and the committee voted in favor. Staff said the minutes would be updated to reflect the correct lot.

Adjournment: The committee moved to adjourn and ended the meeting by voice vote.
