Drew told commissioners that VAR 2531 at 2485 Apalachee Drive had been misadvertised and that staff recommended referral to the Nov. 19, 2025 session. “We’re recommending the referral to 11/19/2025 because we misadvertised it,” Drew said.
The Chair asked whether the board should open the public hearing if no members of the public had submitted comment cards; the Chair said that if no one with a comment card appears, he would not reopen the public hearing and would instead ask a commissioner to make a motion for deferral so the public hearing would be formally deferred to the corrected date. A staff member confirmed one letter in support had been received but that staff did not have a full staff report for the misadvertised component.
No formal vote was recorded during the work session; staff’s recommendation for referral will be placed on the agenda packet for the noted future hearing.
