Board approves personnel transactions; superintendent recommends retirement recognition for para professional Shirley Lawrence

The board approved a slate of personnel transactions by voice vote, including a retirement recommendation from Superintendent Dr. Sarno for para professional Shirley Lawrence, who has served the district for 24 years working with students with special needs.

"Shirley has been a para professional for the past 24 years with our school district...she's purposely dedicated her career to helping special needs students," Dr. Sarno said as he recommended the board recognize her retirement and thanked her for her service. (Dr. Sarno)

A board member moved to approve the personnel transactions and the chair recorded the motion as approved by all present. The superintendent said the district appreciates long-serving staff and asked the board to accept the recommendation as part of personnel approvals.
